04 Jun Launch of the POSIDON project that will finance research in on-site decontamination technologies
The POSIDON project (“Polluted Site Decontamination PCP“; of the European call H2020) will launch a pre-commercial procurement (PCP) procedure to encourage research and development of new in-situ/on-site soil decontamination technologies as to offer a sustainable alternative to the currently dominating “dig and dump” one.
To inform potential bidders, a series of three informative events (open market consultations) have been organized in the cities of Trieste (June 7), Bilbao (June 21) and Brussels (September 25). Attached is the agenda of the first of these events as well as a document with more information about the project:
For more information about these events, including the registration and the characteristics of the tender it is recommended to consult the project website.
The Center for Environmental Studies (CEA) participates in POSIDON as an observer and will be part of the group of bidders of the technology. POSIDON began in February 2018 and will run until March 2022.
